Engineering Consulting Intern Summer 2016

I spent the summer of 2016 working in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, in a Cabela's distribution center. While there I learned the process of working on-site with a client, and about time-study and process improvement.
• Worked with my team to analyze the client’s processes across the distribution center, and provide value by improving those processes and getting employee and manager buy-in
• Time-studied processes across the DC and implemented an incentive program based on our data
• Worked on the floor to mentor employees on best methods and improving performance within the program
• Took ownership of a process, working with purchasing, maintenance, managers, IT, and upper leadership to find and implement improvements and standards from start to finish

International Intern Summer 2015


In summer of 2015, I was selected to represent Texas A&M University and Tenaris as an international intern in Zalau, Romania. I learned to work with teams in entirely new locations and languages. • Worked on installation and startup of an entirely new production facility and line for OCTG accessories, taking it from empty building to first pipe off the line
• Directed fabrication, managed work teams, updated and referenced master plan drawings, problem solving
• Presented final report to leadership from across the plant
